Polyphor synthesizes focused libraries of single compounds of high purity (>90%) and in substantial quantity (25 mg) for hit confirmation and lead optimization. We have a large number of complex, active substance-like core structures, which serve as starting point for the design of compound libraries. Alternatively, libraries are designed starting from core structures proposed by the customers. We also offer ready-to-screen libraries of single compounds of high purity (>90%) and in substantial quantity (1-10 mg) for general and random screening.
In collaboration with Prof. John Robinson at the University of Zurich, Polyphor has developed the proprietary Protein Epitope Mimetics (PEM) Technology which are medium-sized, cyclic, peptide-like molecules (MW 1-2kDa) mimicking beta-hairpin secondary structures of proteins, the major secondary structure involved in protein-protein interactions. PEM are synthesized in a 96-parallel library format using an efficient mixed solution-solid phase process, whereby loop size, building blocks and templates can be varied.
