You will join a major international organisation, committed to the delivery of novel drug discovery and development solutions to clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. As part of a substantial and on-going investment in both staff and technology, a state-of-the-art Q-PCR suite has been established, which now requires an innovative and forward-thinking leader with the vision and drive to fully realise the potential of this
technology.

In this newly-created and strategically important role you will take responsibility for the development, management, delivery and promotion of this latest service offering. Initially, your role will involve hands-on analytical work, but will evolve into that of a technical manager and leader. Working in close collaboration with external customers and colleagues in Business Development, you will promote the use of Q-PCR in the pharmaceutical and related industries, growing the group as the demand for the service is fully realised.

To succeed in this role you will have extensive experience of PCR, Qualitative PCR and Real Time PCR, gained within a commercial environment. This will include the design and optimisation of primers and probes, development of DNA and RNA extraction techniques and the design, optimisation, validation and running of Q-PCR assays in relation to bio-potency testing, bio-distribution and persistence studies, viral load evaluations and genotyping.
An experienced manager, you will be a committed and passionate leader with a desire to build a highly respected, customer-focused team. With excellent communication and project management skills, you will demonstrate strong commercial awareness, combined with the vision and drive to fully exploit the use of Q-PCR in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry.
