Polymer Laboratories (PL), now part of Varian, Inc., develops techniques and instrumentation for the characterization of polymer systems, and develops high technology polymer products for liquid chromatography, diagnostic and pharmaceutical applications. PL's PL-ELS 2100 high sensitivity evaporative light scattering detector is an excellent detector for high throughput screening of combichem libraries. The detector is ideally suited to this type of demanding application as the baseline is stable and totally unaffected by temperature changes, spurious solvent peaks or even fast and extreme solvent gradients.
